Scotchmer Street, 1970s

Scotchmer Street, Fitzroy North, between Fergie Street and St Georges Road, circa 1970–74. The butcher, grocer and chemist all served a largely working-class community, many of whom were first or second-generation migrants who’d settled in the Inner North after the war.
